As I've learned about monument signs, it really amazes me to find out that so many of the signs I admire that look as though they may be made of stucco or concrete are actually foam monument signs. But, you will essentially have pipes protruding out of the foundation for the sign to mount to. It's those pipes and the attachment to them that give the sign it's structural stability.

So, they could be the best deal for a short term placement sign. But if you're wanting a sign for 50 years would it be worth it to go with a foam sign as your outdoor monument sign? That's a decision that the buyer must make. It can be complex because you need to consider the long term maintenance of a sign as well.
